This is me in Michigan!
My name is Jenny Healey, I am a Sophomore at Seton High School, and this is my Snow Falling in Spring Wiki! As a Sophomore, I am currently involved in Lacrosse and student council. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and something that makes me really happy is the smell of bonfires. My favorite season is fall because I love football, the crisp and cool air, bonfires, and the beautiful colors of the leaves. I have a passion for music. One of my favorite songs is "Holding Out For A Hero" by Ella Mae Bowen, from the new hit movie Footloose. I attended Saint Antoninus for grade school. Those are eight years that I will never forget. We went on a class trip to Washington D.C. and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. It was so much fun! I use to play select soccer for Tri-State Futbol Alliance until I tore my ACL during my freshman year. After a long recovery, this year was my first year back playing soccer for my high school, and so far no injuries! Anyways, my English sophomore class just finished reading the wonderful novel Snow Falling in Spring and our class project is to make a Wiki. I am excited to share all of my hard work with you and I hope you enjoy it!

"Welcome" inChinese!

Snow Falling in Spring is about a 12 year old girl, Moying Li, during the Cultural Revolution. As she is studying at a prestigious language school in Beijing, she seems destined for a promising future. Though when student Red Guards plan vicious attacks, public humiliations, and forced confessions throughout the country, everything changes. The only place Moying Li felt would be a safe place was home. But then she found her home dismantled, her mother denounced, and her father had been taken away, along with their precious books. Suffering from her crumbling world, she finds peace in literature. Schools are shut down, libraries are closed, and most books are forbidden, so how is Moying Li going to retain her passion for learning?
